DPS Safety Video Wins Emmy Award

A Denver Public Schools-produced safety video has won an Emmy Award. The video “Getting to School Safely,” was up against PBS-produced and 7News-produced videos in the Informational/Instructional Program/Special category. Click here to watch the English version of “Getting to School Safely,” narrated by 7News anchor Anne Trujillo. The video is produced by DPS’s Risk Management.

In addition to the Emmy Award, “Getting to School Safely” also received the Top Product award from the Public Risk Managers Association. The DPS series also received the Award of Excellence from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA). It has also won three Telly Awards (Bronze) in various categories.

The Spanish version of the video has also been selected to receive a CINE Golden Eagle Award.
